What are the odds of winning in the Winnipeg Jets Chase the Ace Raffle?
The odds of winning a Weekly Prize draw depend on the number of tickets in the draw. There is no limit to the number of tickets that can be sold. The odds of selecting the Ace of Spades begins at 1 in 52 and these odds improve with each weekly removal of revealed cards other than the Ace of Spades.
Do overturned cards stay overturned?
Yes, each week the weekly winner’s card is revealed. As more cards are overturned the odds increase of the Ace of Spades being selected to win the accumulator prize.
Why do I have to select one of the remaining numbered cards?
Each of the numbered envelopes contains a hidden playing card and the Chase the Ace Accumulator prize will be won by the ticket holder who wins the Weekly Prize draw and selects the numbered envelope containing the Ace of Spades. Every ticket order must include a selected jersey. Once a card is overturned, it is removed from the available selection.
Can I select a numbered envelope for each ticket in my order?
One numbered envelope is selected for each ticket order. Players wishing to select multiple numbered envelopes can place several ticket orders and select a different numbered envelope for each order. Having more than one numbered envelope selection does not increase your odds of winning the weekly or accumulator prize.
When will I receive my ticket numbers?
Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email confirming your order. Please click the “View your order” button to see your tickets.
What if I did not receive an email with my numbers?
All tickets will be delivered via email only. It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to ensure that they receive their tickets, however, purchasers do not need their ticket in hand to be included in the draw. If the ticket purchaser has not received their ticket by 9 AM CT the day following their Chase the Ace ticket purchase, they can e-mail info@winnipegjetscta.com before Noon CT the day following their purchase and request that their tickets be resent. They must e-mail from the same e-mail they purchased tickets with. Tickets will be resent between 1PM and 4 PM CT the following day.
Do I win a prize if I selected the same envelope number as the weekly prize winner, and it contains the Ace of Spades?

How do you select the winner?

To win the weekly prize, the winner must have purchased the winning weekly ticket number. Why do I see a charge when I do not have my tickets?
When purchasing a raffle ticket online, a credit card pre-authorization occurs. This is much like any other charge to a credit card, except instead of debiting funds from the cardholder, a temporary "hold" is placed on the funds. Once a credit card has been pre-authorized the cardholder cannot go and spend this money anywhere else. However, at the same time the charge doesn't actually show up on the credit card statement. (Although, if called, the card issuing bank will confirm that a pre-authorization is holding funds on the cardholders account). Once the raffle tickets are issued, the pre-authorization is converted until a full authorization and results in a charge that shows up on the credit card statement. If the tickets are not issued, the pre-authorization charge is removed within 3-5 business days.
Why is the winner’s name not automatically listed on the website?
We post the winning number both on the site and social media. In terms of the winner’s name being published, the following three things need to occur:
- We need to confirm that the winner is 18+. This happens with a photo id verification.
- We need to verify that the ticket is valid.
- We need a signed release from the winner so that we can publish their name.
Can I gift my ticket or prize?
No, the winner must forward their purchase e-mail with ticket numbers, a copy of their government issued photo identification and address to claim the prize. The prize cheque will be sent to the winner with the customer details provided at time of purchase.
Are raffle tickets tax deductible?
The Canada Revenue Agency states that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts, and therefore, the price of the raffle ticket does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution.
What is a AVS Error and why am I receiving it?
AVS stands for Address Verification Service. This error occurs when the address info inputted does not match the address info for your credit card. This needs to match to complete your purchase. Sometimes a block will be put in place to not allow you to purchase in the future.
What if my purchase attempt is declined by risk management?
The Risk Management error occurs when your bank declines the transaction. This can happen for multiple reasons, your bank thinks the transaction is suspicious, they think your credit card may be stolen, or simply some information was entered incorrectly. You will need to reach out to your bank for a further explanation and to solve this problem.
